About me
When I burnt out of a non-profit career in trying to make the world safer for wildlife and farmers in India, I was exhausted. My disillusioned self found solace in a strange place, a tarot deck. I came to tarot wanting to find magic and hope and some assurance that everything didn’t actually completely suck. What I ended up finding is a great tool to know my own mind and art that reconnected me with the natural world.
Reading tarot for myself and others has taught me that the best lessons for healing and growth are found in nature. That people navigate crises and become the best versions of themselves slowly, with many seasons to the process and by paying attention to their own inner ecologies.
My hope for myself, this community and humanity is that we are able to look within to find our own unique light. And that we then bring more and more of that light out into the world through our projects, careers and businesses and through our parenting, relationships and friendships. I am here to help along that process. I can hold space and consult nature and spirit for guidance for you to cultivate your best relationships with yourself, others and your environment. I believe the endeavour of transforming our society is actually the work of transforming all these smaller, more manageable relationships on the Land-Self-Community continuum.
Why do I focus on mental health and growth?
I came to tarot looking for the mystical and to deepen my intuition. What surprised me was how much psychological honesty the cards actually hold. The Tower isn’t just ‘bad news’, it’s how we experience the all-pervasive shake of a breakdown, and sometimes a breakthrough. The Hermit isn’t just ‘alone time’, it’s what it feels like to need solitude to hear yourself again or to get to know yourself anew.
I started doing daily card pulls alongside my counselling skills training and realised that the tarot was a fantastic tool for reflection. From there, my interest in the tarot deepened almost as a complementary skillset to my understanding of mental health as a function of our beliefs, thoughts, experiences and choices. It was an incredibly empowering journey for me and I chose to continue to focus on mental health to bring that same empowerment to my clients.
Where does ecology fit into all of this?
I believe the seasons are one of the oldest teachers we have. Nothing in nature is in bloom all year, and nothing in us should be expected to be either. Some seasons of a life call for growth, some for harvest, some for rest, some for letting go. My readings are built to help you recognise which season you’re actually in instead of the the one you think you should be in
